QMindset is not just another employee survey, but a scientifically grounded diagnostic method for your organization's real quality culture.

What ISO 9001:2026 specifically changes

■Chapter 5.1 – Leadership: Top management must now actively promote a quality culture and ethical behavior – previously this was not explicitly required.
■Chapter 7.3 – Awareness: The awareness requirement now applies to all employees, not only to management.
■Chapter 5.2 – Strategic alignment: Quality policy and objectives must be demonstrably linked to the organization's long-term strategy.

Why traditional questionnaires fail the ISO 9001:2026 audit

The standard revision published in September 2026 requires, for the first time, clear evidence of a genuinely lived quality culture. Conventional tools and surface-level surveys fall short of this task.

Until now, it was often enough to document processes and hang mission statements on the wall. With ISO 9001:2026, which replaces the previous ISO 9001:2015, this changes fundamentally: auditors now explicitly check whether quality awareness is genuinely lived within the organization, or whether it is merely an alibi system. Relying on classic surveys here leads straight into a dangerous trap:

■The consultant fallacy: Standardized multiple-choice questions only reflect what their author imagined. They rarely capture the real obstacles in your workforce's everyday work.
■Visible gaps in the system: When employees tick pre-defined scales, they often answer in a socially desirable way, or state the opposite to harm their employer. The result is findings that evaporate in daily practice and don't hold up in an audit.
■Auditors are looking closer: Certification bodies are scrutinizing more closely now. A QM system that exists only on paper, without leadership and staff genuinely standing behind it, leads to critical nonconformities.
■In-depth interviews don't scale: Personal audits and on-site interviews provide deeper insight, but tie up enormous time and financial resources – simply not feasible in normal operations.

The Repertory Grid Method

Making visible what people really think – developed in 1955 by psychologist George A. Kelly, digitized for QMindset and optimized for quality management.
Ordinary surveys force employees into someone else's response patterns. QMindset uses the scientifically grounded Repertory Grid method: by directly comparing generally understandable terms (triads), participants formulate their own evaluation criteria – their so-called personal constructs. The result is an unfiltered, authentic picture of the quality culture. Using automated statistical analysis (principal component analysis), QMindset condenses these individual results into a visual cognitive map, the Q‑Heatmap. You see at a glance where your organization stands, where consensus exists, and where hidden conflicts lie.

Why you shouldn't wait for the transition period to end

ISO 9001:2026 was officially published on 16 September 2026 and replaces ISO 9001:2015. Standards experts explicitly warn against letting the regular three-year transition period (until around September 2029) pass unused. Companies that only tackle the shift toward quality culture shortly before recertification risk hectic last-minute work and nonconformities in the audit. Use QMindset now for an immediate baseline assessment and involve your leadership team early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using QMindset ahead of your next audit.
How long does the survey take per employee?+

The process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The digital system guides each person step by step. No preparation or training is required.

How is QMindset different from ordinary employee surveys?+

Classic surveys prescribe response categories. QMindset uses the Repertory Grid method. Here, participants formulate their own evaluation criteria. This brings genuine, often unconscious attitudes to light and clearly reveals differences of opinion within the team.

Is the survey completely anonymous?+

Yes. The system operates strictly on the principle of Privacy by Design. Results are only ever evaluated in aggregate, from a minimum group size of 5 participants per group (can be set higher on request). Drawing conclusions about individual people is technically impossible. Data is processed on servers in Germany.

Do you offer a data processing agreement (DPA)?+

Yes. We provide you with a DPA, plus further documentation on request, for your internal data protection and IT security review – something we've already completed successfully with customers who review data protection very closely.

Does the works council need to be involved?+

Where a works council exists, we recommend involving it early. We have specialists on our team experienced in working with works councils. We'll provide you with a practice-proven works agreement template.

What exactly do I receive as a result for my audit?+

You receive a structured, easy-to-understand report including a visual Q‑Heatmap. This documentation provides evidence of your quality culture, along with concrete action areas you can present directly to your auditor.

What does using QMindset cost?+

Prices start at €1,500 net for a one-time survey with evaluation, with no subscription required. The full feature set is already included at this level – pricing scales with the number of participants and surveys, up to an enterprise annual subscription for unlimited, full-scope use. Send us a no-obligation enquiry – we'll get back to you promptly with the terms that fit your project.
